About The Show
In 1996, About Face Theatre debuted in Chicago with Eric Rosen’s full-length play The Gift. Now, in celebration of the company’s 25th anniversary season, Rosen has adapted his play into a delightful, bite-sized radio play performed by five amazing performers. The story focuses on the double date of a gay couple and a lesbian couple, and the unexpected secrets and stories that arise from their pasts. Inspired by O. Henry’s classic short story “The Gift of the Magi,” this tale of coincidence and the possibility of miracles is told with a subtle blend of humor and spiritual insight.
