A Fond Farewell to Managing Director Logan Jones
Hello About Face Theatre community!
We are writing to share the news that Logan Jones (he/they), our beloved Managing Director, is leaving his role with About Face to begin his next chapter as the new Director of Accounting at Northlight Theatre. We are sad to see Logan go, but wishing him the best in this exciting next step!
About Face Theatre has been fortunate to have Logan at the management helm these past four years. Logan first became involved with the company as a leadership consultant, then was hired into a full-time role as the General Manager. Because of his skills related to analysis and organizational development, Logan was promoted to the role of Managing Director in 2020. Since that time, he has led the way on achieving company goals for pay equity and expanded personnel benefits. Inspired by a deep commitment to accessibility, Logan helped to build more sustainable production processes, adjusted budgets to introduce pay-what-you-can ticket tiers, and served as a founder of the Green Room Collective leadership program. Throughout the pandemic, with its many challenges for arts organizations and individuals, Logan helped ensure that About Face remained stable with grace and kindness. Logan, we thank you for everything.
“Thank you to everyone who has been part of the About Face Theatre community over the past four years. I’m deeply grateful for all the support I’ve received in my time with AFT. Engaging in this work alongside so many passionate collaborators has been incredibly meaningful. Our work together has positioned AFT to continue to lead in this industry with care, sustainability, and equity at the forefront of its work. I’m truly honored to have been part of such a values-driven team, and I remain excited for everything to come in the future for AFT. Thank you again for everything. I look forward to continuing to be in community with you all.”
As a result of all of these efforts, About Face is in a strong position to continue serving its powerful mission. We have two productions opening this spring and we hope you will join us at the theatre to see our mission in action.
Logan’s final day with About Face is February 4, 2024 and plans are underway to define the scope of a search for a new leader on our team. We see every change as an opportunity, and Logan’s incredible work has made it easier for us to use this change as an opportunity to further strengthen AFT.
We’re so glad to be in this work with you and to build the future of About Face Theatre together.
Warm regards,
