Join your friends at About Face Theatre for a special performance as part of Navy Pier’s Chicago Live festival! This free, annual two-day performance festival will feature more than 60 of the city’s top musical, theatrical, dance, and cultural organizations with back-to-back performances!
About Face Theatre will present Clearing Space, a musical spoken word tribute to Black Lesbians created and performed by Shanta Nurullah and Zahra Baker (ShaZah) and Vic Wynter. ShaZah appeared with AFT at last year’s Chicago Live Again event for an enthusiastically received performance, and Vic Wynter directed AFYT’s Gayme Changers this summer. Some of the ideas and concepts in this original performance work originated in About Face Theatre’s digital KICKBACK Festival.
