KINSHIP: An All-Ages Queer Variety Show

KINSHIP: An All Ages Queer Variety Show was an artistic platform for young queer performers (prioritizing those of color) in Chicago to showcase new and original work. Its mission was to create a safe space and build community among queer youth. KINSHIP was a home to uplift, empower, and celebrate queer art. It was a queer prioritized space, it was a youth prioritized space, it was a queer youth of color prioritized space.

KINSHIP launched in December 2018 with performances at The Martin and soon grew to include performances at Reunion, Chicago and Steppenwolf Theatre. There were eight KINSHIPs in total, serving nearly 50 queer performers ages 14-24 and reaching over 300 audience members.
