Do you want to be part of AFYT? About Face Youth Theatre is now accepting submissions for new ensemble members for the 2020-21 season!
AFYT is a brave and creative space for LGBTQ+ youth. This award-winning training and community building program provides opportunities to build your skills in movement, acting, drag, writing, and your own style as a leader while learning about LGBTQ+ history and social justice movements. No experience necessary.
Experience the fascinating world of solo performance with AFYT this fall!
This fall in AFYT, we will be diving into the wonderful world of Solo Performance as a genre and technique. Through this virtuosic medium you will explore and experience the full spectrum of the actor’s instrument. This session will feature workshops lead by professional teaching artists on scriptwriting and storytelling, character creation, puppetry, and more, while developing the actor’s toolbox through voice, body, and text work.
When? Saturdays noon to 3pm, starting September 19
Where? All workshops will take place online over Zoom until further notice.
